I am Sandice Laus, and I’m a resident of the Philippines. I teach English and offer lessons in the English–Filipino language pair. I have intermediate proficiency in English and advanced proficiency in Filipino, enabling me to effectively support learners who benefit from bilingual instruction while developing their English communication skills.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Development Communication, a degree that equipped me with strong communication, instructional, and learner engagement skills. In addition, I have over two years of professional experience in project management and electronic governance systems, where I conducted training sessions for Filipinos on various ICT-related topics, including AI, Data Analytics, Digital Marketing, and Cybersecurity. These experiences strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly, adapt my teaching to different audiences, and create engaging learning experiences.

Teaching has always been one of my greatest passions. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I established my own tutorial center, where I provided instruction in English and Filipino reading literacy and Mathematics for children, including learners with special educational needs. This experience taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and flexibility in meeting the unique learning styles of every student. Furthermore, from 2013 to 2022, I volunteered in reading programs for children in rural communities throughout the Philippines, helping improve literacy skills and encouraging a lifelong love of learning.

My teaching philosophy centers on understanding each learner’s goals before designing lessons that best fit their needs. I believe that effective learning happens in a supportive, interactive, and enjoyable environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I actively listen to my students, provide constructive feedback, and tailor my lessons to their interests and learning pace. To keep lessons engaging and relevant, I incorporate modern digital tools such as Canva, TikTok, and CapCut to create interactive and visually appealing learning materials whenever appropriate.
